Some Recent Portraits
I'm sure you will be visiting the Blog for a myriad of reasons; all reasons being your own. As of late I've been playing with Fashion which naturally produces results in the Portrait category. Here we have a sampling of just that. Enjoy...
This is Pam & Sheila. I met Pam at the 2006 Denver Grand Prix Champ Car Race; she was competing in a Beach Volleyball Tournament that was going on in the Expo area of the race. Pam (on the left) is on the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour. We did this shoot at an indoor Beach Volleyball facility in Broomfield, CO. She brought Sheila along to help 'set' and it turned out to be two for one for me. What great athletes and women Pam and Sheila are! It was a pleasure shooting them. Check out more at 5280Fotos.com

This is Mariko. We did a fashion shoot for the Aveda Institute in Denver, CO. Mariko has professionally trained at Aveda and will be joining a Salon at some exotic location soon. This shoot took place in the alley next to the Aveda Institute off the 16th Street Mall downtown. As you can imagine with the commotion of a photo shoot right off the Mall we had many passers by and lots of swooning fans. Applause and whistles were constant. You can check out the shoot at 5280Fotos.com.

Jill is a fantastic natural and trained model. I can't say enough good about her and we have a ton of fun together.

Leslie was an absolutely beautiful bride and I got a bonus working with her. Her good friend Leah Ballinger owns Blue Bridal
on the 16th Street Mall in Denver, CO. We shot Leslie in a few different gowns around the Mall. What is funny is that when you're shooting a Bride in public it really turns heads, draws a crowd and generates a lot of attention.

These two young ladies were great little models during a Workshop at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno.

Lori has some of the most incredible eyes I've ever seen. This beautiful young lady has the brains to match; she is a 4.0 student in Bio Mechanical Engineering and will graduate next year.

One of my most favorite models and dear friend Rhonda...

Zach was a lighting grip on the set of independent film that I was in. I played a Psychologist and when I wasn't in the scenes I was busy snapping photos.

Jen was also on the set of the film.

Another nice head shot of Jill, this time no wig

This is my daughter with my Grandmother in March '06. My Grandmother passed shortly after this photo.

These two guys were outside a cantina in Guadalajara Mexico acting real suspicious. I asked them if I could take their picture and they got real nervous. At first I tried speaking to the guy on the left but he didn't speak a word of English, the guy on the right had broken English and we were able to communicate enough that they finally understood what I was trying to do. After I took a few shots I showed them the pictures on my D200; they scrolled through the photos and saw some shots from a bikini shoot on a beach from the day before. Immediately they became interested, started laughing and speaking in Spanish what I could only guess was something like "You da man"! I didn't get any shots of them smiling but they did buy me a shot of the worst Tequila I've ever tasted.

Okay... The story about these two above is totally Fiction. This is Jeff & Peter, my two long time hiking buddies and business associates from Reno, NV. This was taken on Jeff's back patio right after returning from a Yosemite trip.
Sarah Jane... What a wonderful soul! Rock climber, Yoga, Dance, Sings and plays multiple instruments in a band. And look, she can model too
Some Rock Climbing pics of Sarah Jane & Holly

Ashley and I share a passion for photography. We shoot together and when we can't find models or a subject we take each other's pictures.
